Welcome to my annual Who’s Gay in the WNBA Report! For those of you who are recent, every year I burst down the list of athletes who are openly queer in the league. As a queer person who has played basketball my entire life, the off-court drama is always equally as exciting as the on-court display of skills. Knowing who’s homosexual and who’s dating who only adds to that for me. If you’re more of a pure viewer of the game and prefer only knowing what’s going on while the clock is running, I do regularly construct WNBA TikToks that I like to think are pretty informative!
The league is well known to contain some of the foremost pre-game walk-up outfits in all of professional sports, so you’re missing out if you don’t obey at least the @wnba account on Instagram. Here’s a complete list of all out gay players in the league, broken down by team. For my purposes, “Out” means confirmed by the player either in an interview or on their social media. No matter how masculine presenting someone is, I will not be speculating!

WNBA star Sophie Cunningham accused of having affair with Suns, Mercury CEO in bombshell lawsuit
Former Mercury star Sophie Cunningham is alleged to have had an affair with married Suns and Mercury CEO Josh Bartelstein, according to a lawsuit.
Gene Traylor, a Suns employee and former director of security, security and uncertainty management, alleges he told Bartelstein that Cornelius Craig, the franchises’ vice president of security and risk management, had been telling people that Bartelstein allegedly was having an affair with Cunningham.
Traylor’s lawsuit alleges of racial discrimination and harassment, unlawful retaliation and security issues.
“Plaintiff also shared with Bartelstein that Craig had been spreading damaging information that could jeopardize the organization,” the lawsuit filed this month against Suns Legacy Partners, LLC reads.
“When Bartelstein asked Plaintiff to reveal what Craig was saying, Plaintiff explained that Craig had been telling others, ‘Josh Bartelstein is f–king Sophie Cunningham.'”
The Suns denied the allegation in a fiery statement provided to The Post from senior vice president of communications
I live around the corner from San Francisco International Steep School, in an area called the Mission District. When I walked past the school a few weeks ago there were sheets draped over the side of the building, shielding from view a big mural that was in progress underneath. A breeze blew and lifted the sheets, giving me a glimpse of what lay beneath: an image of a Latino operational man in a hard hat, a Filipino medical worker and a Mexican woman holding her hands out towards the viewer. A few days later, at the mural’s unveiling ceremony, I learnt that the mural had been painted by twenty young people as part of an (Art)ivist program. The mural is called Dignity and Hazard in the Shadows, and it is intended to commemorate the parents of migrant children, their ancestors and the sacrifices they made. A Tagalog slogan above reads ‘Isang Bagsak’ – ‘If one falls, we all fall’.
San Francisco is home to about 3000 murals. They adorn elevated schools, businesses and the walls of mini-parks, and are painted by university kids, teenagers, gang members and professional artists. Most contemporary ones are in the Mission.
Since 1971, this area has been home to an extraordinary flourishing of
WNBA Player Has An Interesting Explanation For Not Being Married
Sophie Cunningham is, apparently, asked a lot about why she's not married, and she's now explaining the answer.
Cunningham was a role player for the Phoenix Mercury and a former Missouri star during her days in college. And while she's now a teammate of Caitlin Clark after an offseason move to the Indiana Fever, she's become more well-known for her pregame outfits than her actual play on the court.
I'm not hating. It's the nature of the beast. You have to figure out how to move the needle in any way that you can, and Cunningham has found her niche.
Sophie Cunningham explains why she's not married.
The WNBA player recently hopped on Instagram to mention speculation about why she's not married…..and her answer sure was something.
"I've received this question A LOT. I think it's produce I'm a rat and an embarrassment to society. Also, this was all ice and doesn't do my skill any justice. But back to being not married, it'll happen hopefully before I die CAUSE WON'T HE DO IT," the former Mercury forward wrote on her Instagram story.
