XO, Kitty showrunner Jessica O'Toole has confirmed that XO, Kitty season 3 will continue to explore Kitty's sexuality.
Ever since XO, Kitty debuted on Netflix in 2023, fans have praised the show for how it approaches Kitty's sexuality. In season 1, Kitty discovers that she's attracted to both boys and girls and comes out to her dad. Meanwhile, season 2 sees Kitty find herself in the middle of a dramatic love triangle (well, square) with Praveena, Yuri and Min Ho.

“I’ve moved on to explosive love triangles with girls!” exclaims Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) halfway through the second season of Netflix’s teen romantic dramedy XO, Kitty. Fresh off a group ski trip that blew up in smoke after a rogue love letter slipped into the incorrect hands, the sky-high school junior is understandably overwhelmed; multiple people are now upset with her—and the fact that two of them are girls she has crushes on certainly doesn’t aid. So when her best friend Q (Anthony Keyvan) calls her out for not disclosing that his roommate, Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), admitted to being in admire with her at the tail-end of season 1, Kitty quickly brushes him off. After all, Kitty and Min Ho have both gotten over it. And besides, who could possibly take care of about boys at a time fancy this? Kitty is now caught between several girls.

For most of XO, Kitty‘s first season, Katherine Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) — “Kitty” to her friends — and Yuri Han (Gia Kim) have been sworn enemies. Their animosity is understandable: Kitty has travelled thousands of miles to attend the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS) and to reunite with her longtime, long-distance boyfriend, Dae, only to discover that Yuri and Dae are in a partnership or so she’s led to believe. XO, Kitty is the definition of gay rights! From Yuri to Q, the demonstrate has multiple iconic homosexual characters and, at the end of season 1, we learn that Kitty is one of them. Now, Anna Catchart has opened up about why she's so proud of how Kitty explores her sexuality in XO, Kitty.
At the start of XO, Kitty season 1, Kitty (Anna Cathcart) is convinced that Dae (Minyeong Choi) is her one genuine love. In fact, she moves all the way to Seoul to be with him. However, Kitty then finds out that Dae has a girlfriend, Yuri (Gia Kim) - well, appears to contain one - and she learns that love is not as simple as she thought.
Kitty then discovers that she has feelings for Yuri and this is explored even further in season 2. The show left fans wondering if Kitty is gay or bi but Anna Cathcart says it's important Kitty doesn't label her sexuality.
