Gay pride parade in new orleans
Expect glitter, outrageous costumes, rainbow flags and an outpouring of support for the LGBTQ+ community as the 2025 Event parade rolls through the French Quarter on Saturday, June 14.
Featuring 17 floats, dance troupes and thousands of marchers, the procession commemorates the June 1969 Stonewall riots in New York Metropolis, the flashpoint of the modern queer rights movement.
According to a map on the New Orleans Pride website, the parade will go after a different direction than in past years.
The procession is expected to establish out at 5 p.m. from the corner of North Rampart and Toulouse streets. It follows North Rampart to Esplanade Avenue, where it turns right, then right again on Decatur Highway, right on St. Louis Street, right on Burgundy Highway, right on St. Ann Street and left on Bourbon Street, disbanding by 8 p.m. neighboring the corner of Dumaine Street.
The brand-new route may create it more convenient to attend two other major events that take place on June 14.

Crowds will fill the streets of New Orleans next week to celebrate the city’s LGBTQ+ community with parades, festivals and other big events.
The NOLA Pride Parade is set to roll through the French Quarter on Saturday, June 14. PrideFest will return for its 10th year, and be held in the evening to help people beat the heat. RuPaul’s Flamboyant Race star Kerri Colby will headline the event.
The weekend-long Inky Pride celebration will showcase Jet LGBTQ+ culture through various events held across the city.

In just a limited days, New Orleans locals and visitors will take over the French Quarter and the Marigny to show their LGBTQ+ pride at several events and parades kicking off on Saturday.
Kerri Colby, a "RuPaul's Flamboyant Race AllStars" queen, is set to headline the 10th annual Pridefest on Saturday evening, and several walking organization are set to roll in this year's Pride parade.
Though past Pride weekend events have typically been held in the afternoon, most organizers have moved their scheduling to the evening this year in response to complaints about the excessive summer heat.

Pride events
Both New Orleans Inky Pride and NOLA Pridefest 2025 will kick off their series of events on Thursday, but the height of their celebrations will culminate Saturday and Sunday with festivals, drag brunches and pool parties.
